Have you met our monkey? |
|
He's
furry and kinda ugly, but we like him anyway.
This new addition to the staff has been added to end the constant
complaints from staff about not having an office monkey. Don't be mistaken, he's
more than just an animatronic ape with a laser pointer. He also possesses
various important skills, such as: pool hustling, the expedient delivery of
inter-office memoranda, entertaining customers and just being cool. If he learns
how to make coffee and blog, the bosses intend to use the monkey to replace
Mitchell.
The problem? The monkey has no name. Considering the
over-abundance of creativity in the LogicMaze office, coming to a company
consensus on one name is pretty much out of the question.
We have decided to let you vote!! Click on the "Vote Now"

Deadline is Friday, December 22nd.

Search Engine Optimization News:
Our hard work at Search Engine Optimization has begun to pay off in a big way
with Underground Vaults and Storage. For the past several months, they have had
a strong presence on MSN, holding top 10 positions for the majority of their
keywords. Presently, they are #1 for 25 out of 45! To add to that, in the last
month, we have seen sizable boosts on Yahoo from the previously so-so placement,
and have gone from non-existent to a formidable contender for top placement on
Google (the big dog).
Big thanks go to Chris Eden of Underground Vaults and Storage, who has been
nothing but supportive and cooperative throughout all of our work with him. Eden
had this to say in regards to our efforts on his behalf:
" . . .I'm quite proud of our successes thus
far in the SEO arena. Nice work. Thanks for doing a nice job guiding web
site construction, showing me the ropes, walking me through analytics,
getting the links out there. I can proudly say to anyone who cares that
this web site has risen, rather quickly, in competitive search arenas,
and we're doing it better than most of our competition."
Our methods in Search Engine Optimization have proven effective on more than one
occasion, and we continue to improve and learn new methods. Please give us a
call if you're interested in having your site optimized to bring in more
traffic. Logicmaze Phone Number: 620-860-4237

SPAM
How does Spam Assassin work?
|
|
When the e-mail servers receive a message, Spam Assassin compares
the message to its database of different SPAM criteria. Spam Assassin produces a
numerical score based on those criteria. If the score is higher than a threshold
value, Spam Assassin adds headers like these to the message: ***SPAM***
|
|
How accurate is Spam Assassin?
|
|
Accuracy is
difficult to judge, since one person's SPAM may be a solicited message for
somebody else. Looking at some of the logs the Spam Assassin generates, it
appears to catch about 80% of SPAM. The rules
that Spam Assassin uses to identify SPAM are updated and weighted differently
with each revision of the software, so it will keep up with changes in the
nature of incoming SPAM. Of course, SpamAssassin is running a continuous fight with professional UCE-mailers
(Unsolicited Commercial Emails) who can adapt their messages to skim just below
the scoring threshold of SA, but in general, it puts up a good fight. |
